Halifax is the main town in the Calderdale Metropolitan area, and Huddersfield being the main town in the Kirklees Metropolitan areas.

The two towns lie in the foothills of the Southern Pennines, with easy access to the National Parks of the Yorkshire Dales, and Peak District.

Both towns also have good transport links with rail, and bus. The airports of Manchester, and Leeds/Bradford are within 1 hours travel.
